Enhancement Manager

Kapsons is recruiting for a Fortune 1000 industry leader in landscaping and grounds management. We're looking for an Enhancement Manager to join a high-performing branch team in the White Marsh, MD area.

Job Summary:
The Enhancement Manager (EM) schedules and directs personnel and resources to deliver quality, cost-effective enhancement services to a commercial client portfolio. The EM oversees 2 field crews and is responsible for their day-to-day scheduling, training, and development.

This is a hands-on role — you'll be present in the field regularly (no shovel required), coordinating material runs, keeping jobs organized, and supporting crews — balanced with real administrative ownership of schedules, job costing, and reporting. Strong Excel skills and organizational ability are essential to succeeding in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Understand client needs through regular communication with the Account Manager(s)
• Manage all landscape enhancement services, including coordination of materials, people, equipment, and subcontractors
• Organize and oversee material runs and job logistics to keep crews on schedule
• Inspect properties before scheduled service to prepare a specific action plan
• Understand irrigation systems, identify necessary repairs or adjustments, and communicate recommendations
• Monitor landscape health and identify insect or disease problems
• Be present with crews in the field to support work and scheduling demands
• Work with the Branch Manager to identify staffing needs, hire crew members, and prepare daily crew schedules
• Ensure proper paperwork is completed for all employee changes and hires
• Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, review, and develop growth plans for employees
• Provide hands-on training and support for crew members, including equipment operation, pruning techniques, safety, and quality standards
• Maintain focus on safety and monitor safety records
• Maintain required administrative systems, including timesheets, job databases, and service schedules — strong Excel proficiency required
• Order materials as needed and monitor costs and deliveries
• Request and use purchase orders per company guidelines
• Support the Account Manager on larger enhancement opportunities as an additional resource

Education and Experience:

• Associate degree (2+ years) in a business-related field, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of customer service, management, and leadership experience within the landscaping industry or local marketplace
• 1+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong Excel and organizational skills required
• PLANET Certification (Installation of Hard and Softscapes) required, or ability to obtain

Compensation:

• Base salary plus annual bonus

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old (21+ if operating company vehicles)
• Strong stamina; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
• Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
• Must carry any required medications for known allergic reactions

Work Environment:

• Combination of indoor office work and outdoor site walkthroughs/supervision
• Ability to work in moderate to extreme weather (100&degree;F+ or below 32&degree;F, varying humidity)
• Extended periods in direct sunlight
• Exposure to traffic, water, fumes, dust, mechanical/electrical hazards, loud noise, and outdoor allergens (pollen, insects, etc.)
